SuitUp x Morgan Stanley

Partner Objective

Morgan Stanley came to SuitUp for a low-lift, skills-based volunteer day in person.

Program Summary

In 2019, SuitUp organized and facilitated 4 SuitUp competitions with Morgan Stanley. They partnered with two KIPP middle schools in the Bronx, Baychester Middle School, and P.S. 303 in the South Bronx. Students were tasked with creating a new product for Nike under the mentorship of Morgan Stanley coaches.

A total of 102 employees participated, impacting 145 students. The winning ideas were: Nike Stickie Speakers (speakers that can stick to any surface), Nike Cloud (adjustable high heels), Nike SLE Shoe and Eats, and Nike Pro Live Sunglasses.

Success Metrics

Achieved Objective

SuitUp was able to step and plant the event logistics and execution while ensuring that employees and students would be able to exercise financial skills. SuitUp was responsible for sourcing and onboarding the school partners, promoting the competition, and compiling impact data after the event. Our skilled facilitators ensured the incorporation of financial services concepts like profit margins, revenue, and key performance indicators (KPIs) while supporting Morgan Stanley volunteers in effectively communicating their industry in a kid-friendly way.

SuitUp has maintained a partnership with Morgan Stanley since 2018, and continues to organize low-lift events for teams across the company.
