SuitUp x Boston College

Partner Objective

Boston College’s goal was to increase the pipeline of diverse students applying to their college.

Program Summary

Through SuitUp’s facilitation, students from Excel Academy in East Boston worked with the Boston College Investment Club, a fully student-run organization. Their challenge was to create a new product for Nike. With the support of their coaches, student CEOs tackled the marketing, design, and strategy of their business ideas, and pitched it to professors at the school.

After the winning team was announced, Excel Academy students were then taken on a tour of Boston College by the Investment Club students!

Success Metrics

Achieved Objective

SuitUp allowed Boston College to fulfill its objective of creating a more diverse pool of students interested in attending. By experiencing the community of a club and its members, as well as walking around a campus that might be theirs one day, Excel Academy students were able to picture themselves attending college.

Boston College has now partnered with SuitUp for over four years - supplying six interns and a number of board members directly from the Boston Investment Club.
